I woke well before the sun rose, eager for the day that was planned. I hopped quietly out of my bed and threw on my day shirt in the moonlight that proudly shined through the gap in the leaves of towering trees outside and through the opened window. It was dark in the rest of our house. And silent. This wasn't common for our house, even in the dead of night, because Ma usually had a patient needing hourly care and usually keeps a few candles lit not only to bring light and warmth into an otherwise eerie house, but to invite the holy goddess of healing and love, Sanare, into our home. It's been about a week or so since my mother's taken a pati
I stood in that spot for a while, like the misty demon still encircled me with his ink-blood fog.
Ari made a faint groan, which snapped me from my trance, reminding me that he wasn't there anymore. She was waking up, because I could see pain lines appear on her face. She must've lost consciousness or something after she helped Elezar.
"Ari," I said. She sat up suddenly, only to fall back down from the pressure change. "Are you alright?"
Lying on her back, she opened her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine...just a little dizzy." She got up slowly, and tried to stand up only for her charred leg to collapse on her.
"You don't look fine to me. Stay here a
The thick canopy of leaves at the trees' tops provided much shade, with the occasional blobs of weak sunlight that persisted through the maze of dendric foliage. The trees stood tall and proud with age, their years expressed their height and how much I loved them.
I closed my eyes and slowly inhaled through my nostrils. Just breathe, Ari would say. She's said it so many times she needn't say anything even if she was next to me, watching what I did. Like now.
I opened my eyes slowly, like waking up in the morning and have the weak sun wink at you in the early hours, despite the trees and the small window. I let it loose, my projectile, and i

Normally, our suspicions kept us from walking on the dirt path, in case anything might decide to target us as their next meal, but the errand we ran allowed us to walk without caution. Mother had sent Alcander outside the village to scout out any dewdrop berry plants, so I tagged along with him for the fun of it. As the name suggests, the dewdrop plants only bears its fruits when dew sticks to the grass in the springtime. Dewdrop plants are not particularly a friendly food to most monsters that live in the forest, so they stayed clear from us to avoid the berries.

The rushing hue of a shushing blue,
The singing ring of a springing green,
The pewing spew of a beautious fushia,
The whooshing light of a whispering white,
The silent night of a time without light,
And the resonating sound of colors all around.

Prologue
There is a world. A world where humans are the start of a bloody battle. In the dawn of time, as the earth was fresh and new, man had begun to sprout. They were kind, gentle, and loving. I, their creator and god, had given them the life they sustain and with that life came one rule: do not inhabit the Southern Forest of Spirabilis, the Western Desert of Colossus, and the Northern Mountains of Algens, for the inhabitants had strived from my will, and surely they would too.
My rules dictated that they were to remain within the inland, hideous monsters known as Amentia, forged directly by the Under God in the deepest pits of Hell. Th

In a really long time, this is what I post. I'M SORRY I'M WORKING ON CHAPTER 2. Though frankly I think only one person is really eager to read it. :P
